Ladera Heights is a unincorporated area on the south west side in Los Angeles California. It is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods on the Westside of Los Angeles.

According to a recent article in L.A Times “Its median household income tops Brentwood’s, and its inventory of architecturally intact Mid century Modern homes is almost unmatched in Los Angeles.

After the fair housing act took place in the 1960s and discriminatory housing practices were struck down, affluent Black Americans led by baseball great Frank Robinson, began buying in Ladera Heights, Baldwin Hills and neighboring communities.
